What We Collect

GageRef collects standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) through our hosting provider Netlify. We use this data to monitor site performance and fix errors.

We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personal information unless you contact us directly.

The following third-party services process data when you visit this site:

Netlify hosts this site and processes web requests. Their privacy policy is available at netlify.com/privacy.

Google Analytics 4 collects anonymous usage data (pages visited, time on site, device type). Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors. Google processes this data under their own privacy policy. GageRef receives only aggregate reports.

Microsoft Clarity captures behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to help us understand how pages are used and improve the site. Clarity uses first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies. Microsoft processes this data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Amazon Associates. Some pages contain affiliate links to Amazon.com. When you click an affiliate link, Amazon may place cookies on your device to track the referral. Amazon's privacy policy governs how they handle that data. GageRef does not receive any personal information about you from Amazon. We receive only aggregate reporting on clicks and purchases.

Local Storage

Some tools on this site (such as My Setups) save data to your browser using localStorage. This data is stored entirely on your device and is never transmitted to GageRef or any third party. You can clear this data at any time through the tool itself or by clearing your browser storage. Because this data is stored only in your browser, it may be lost if you clear your browser data, switch devices, or use a different browser. GageRef is not responsible for data stored locally on your device.

What We Do Not Do

We do not sell or trade personal data. We do not serve advertising on this site. We do not use retargeting pixels or remarketing tags. The third-party analytics services listed above process usage data as described in their respective privacy policies.
